Greenmount State School is dedicated to improving the opportunities for students to attain key learning outcomes. We focus on a child centred approach with the emphasis on life long learning.
The climate of our school is based upon effective communication. Our school operates on an Open Door Policy which encourages, invites and welcomes parents to visit the classrooms at any time and to discuss their child’s progress openly and honestly.
Greenmount State School will continue to be committed to improving key learning
outcomes for all students by responding to student needs and striving to provide excellence in teaching and learning outcomes. The school provides at least 30 minutes of daily physical activity with students to incorporate ‘Smart Moves’ to ensure students participate in and understand the importance of being active.
A school chaplain provides supports to all students, providing specific programs for classes in the area of antibullying and positive, supportive friendships.
Our school is now entering its 106th year. A great deal has been achieved over the years at Greenmount and much of this can be attributed to the close home-school association which we have. Greenmount State School is very proud of its safe and supportive learning environment and this is embedded in our philosophy of STRONG, SAFE and SUCCESSFUL.
