At Greenmount State School our purpose is to foster the total development of each student in preparation for their participation in society as responsible, active and reflective citizens with a willingness to engage in life long learning.
Our school offers instruction in all of the 8 Key Learning Areas with regular classroom programs being supplemented by visiting specialist teachers in the areas of Music, PE and French.
In line with school policy and community expectations, Greenmount State School attempts to provide all students with opportunities to achieve success. To facilitate this outcome the school’s OPTIONS PROGRAM is implemented during term three of each year. Our OPTIONS PROGRAM offers an alternative program, which caters for the interest, ability level and cultural differences within our community. Our OPTIONS PROGRAM encourages and maximises community involvement in the activities of our school with community members offering diverse learning opportunities to all students. The OPTIONS PROGRAM enables children who may achieve limited success with the academic curriculum an opportunity to succeed.
